A fly can’t bird but a bird can fly

6:30pm is drawing near as I wait for my friend Mits to finish up her work so we can go pick up my car at my parents house. I keep it parked there most of the time since they live in the suburbs and I love my car too much to subject it to cruel city life. Once in awhile I go to pick it up if I need it for the weekend. Usually I don’t. In fact I haven’t driven it in almost 3 months! I rely on public transportation. Good ol’ Muni. Sometimes it is your best friend and others…well you get the point.

So in this waiting I have decided to start up a blog to kill time. It seems almost everyone has one now. NOT that I am trying to be like everyone else…I am just trying to learn what the craze is all about.

So work has been insane. I work in publishing and everything in my world or work revolves around due dates and calendars. This week was shipping week, so you can imagine all of our editors rushing to get their stuff shipped on time. Part of me likes the excitment of ship week…part of me must remember to breathe since I am doing so much at once. So now I am left being tired and it is Friday night.

I did go out last night. It’s a lil place called the Cat Club and every Thursday they play all 80’s music. It pulls an interesting crowd. A light college brawl in the front room and the dark misunderstood kids in the back room. It is 90% of the time fun…but last night I just couldn’t fully get into it. So being bored I went to the back room and low and behold there is a coulple having sex on the stage. There were about 3 rows of guys just transfixed on this scene. The couple got kicked out, but the group of guys watching and ignoring everything else really creeped me out for some reason. Now I can never look at that stage witou going YUCK! I mean, she was into it and all…but..weird. All the girls and gay guys freaked out, while the straight guys acted like zombies.

Pretty random blog so far huh? So tonight, after getting my car, my roommate Kirsten and I are gonna try to go see Willy Wonka. I am expecting it to be pretty maddening. But Johnny Depp and Tim Burton are a rad combo. Let’s see huh?
